Sometimes, books are very tiring to look at. They make us feel (very) sleepy and bored. What we need are fun and effective ways to practice English. Here are some interesting suggestions on ways you can have English language practice:
- Listening to music
Songs are easy to remember as they have catchy melodies and simple lyrics. During your free time or while having your meals, you can just listen to music and learn a few phrases or so. This will also help you familiarize with the pronunciations of some words.
- Watching cartoons / anime (with English subtitles)
Cartoons are very funny and they make use of everyday expressions and conversations. You can also train and practice your listening skills while watching.
- Watching movies
For those who want to take it to the next level, watching movies is a nice idea. Just like cartoons, movies help you improve your listening skills and pronunciation. In addition, movies have many inspiring messages as well as impressive quotes you can tell your friends.
- Reading manga / webtoons translated in English
Reading again? Yes, but this time, why not try reading your favorite manga and webtoons in English? It will not only enrich your vocabulary but also help you understand long sentences.
- Watching YouTube videos
This is very useful as YouTube has many videos you can choose from. YouTube has everything you need: pronunciation tips, grammar explanations, useful expressions, listening practice, and other language learning materials.
That’s all for now. How about you guys? What are your English studying tips and techniques? Happy learning! ^^
